Why do we all get so dry in Fall and Winter? As the weather gets colder, the atmosphere’s capacity to hold water vapor decreases. So, lack of atmospheric humidity means we need to slather on moisturizer like crazy this time of year. It also the season that Phoenicia Soap sees our sales increase for our whipped body butters, like clockwork. Last week, inspired by one customer stocking up on whips, we decided to bring back the large sizes of our whipped body butters. And, at a savings to encourage you to stock up.
Our Whips have moisturizing ingredients that lubricate skin to prevent water from escaping. Each contains kukui nut butter—rich in linoleic acid and favored for oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin; shea butter, with its anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe skin and relieve itching; and avocado butter that helps to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
While the need to moisturize increases in cold weather, you still need to hydrate. What’s the difference? Our Green Dream, Collected Calm, Rose Serum, and Tulsi Toner are made to increase the skin’s water content, while body butters lock in moisture.
