Our storefront at 3107 Route 28 in Shokan will close December 24, 2024. We offer to teach classes or guide parties in your space or will arrange to host a space in the Phoenicia area.

We offer distillation and other demos for nonprofits and education organizations.

Parties and classes cost $55 per person. Our activities are great for celebrating:

Phoenicia Soap Makers Space events run 1 hour to 1 hour 90 minutes and include:

  • An event host to take care of setup and cleanup
  • Your choice of DIY activity from the list below.
  • All supplies and instruction
  • A take-home bath/body good created during your special party
  • BYO beverage and food

Phoenicia Soap Makers Space activities

Soapmaking

Using Phoenicia Soap base or plant oils, you blend clays, botanicals, fragrances or essential oils to create your own soap. Each participant will leave with 8 oz of your soapy creation. Cold process "from scratch" soap class requires protective gear that we provide. 

Bath Bombs

Blend Fragrances or essential oils and botanicals to create your signature, pH-balanced bath bombs. Each participant will leave with 3-5 bath bombs 

Candle making

Make poured candles in recycled containers with your signature scent/color. Each participant will leave with at least one candle

Incense making

Hand-roll or cone form using locally grown aromatic plants. Each participant will leave with 3-6 incense sticks or 4-6 cones.

Hydrsol Distillation

Learn to use a copper alembic still to turn locally-grown botanicals into hydrosols for aromatherapy, skin toning, and room/linen sprays. Each participant will leave with a 2 oz spray bottle of your own distillate or blend for skin or aromatherapy.

Infusions

Learn how to choose carrier oils and infuse them with locally-grown botanicals for skin-nourishing bath or body goods. Each participant will leaven with a 2 oz dropper bottle of your own body/bath oil blend or a lotion bar.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to hold your party date and time on our calendar.  The final balance is due on the day of the scheduled party.  If you cancel your party with a 48 hour notice, we will provide store credit for your deposit.
